Zannier Bai San Ho
Rice paddies, jungle hills, and a coral reef bay on a peninsula the tourist trail missed.
Seventy-Three Villas, Three Vernacular Traditions
Arnaud Zannier spent months travelling Vietnam to study how its people built their homes, and every villa here answers to one of them. Up on the slopes, rooflines follow the Ede longhouses of the Central Highlands, a form traditionally extended by a room with each new generation. On the beach, villas take after Cham coastal houses, finished in painted driftwood, cream and cool linen. Elsewhere, stilted villas borrow from the homes of local fishermen. It is the largest Zannier hotel, yet space and privacy keep it hushed, across 98 hectares that remain almost entirely wild. The Michelin Guide has since awarded it Two Keys.
The Facilities
Treatments at the Hoa Sen Spa draw on Vietnamese herbal therapies, acupressure, and rituals built on five elements, with separate hammams and saunas and a tea room. Bà Hai, a 12-metre homage to a Bahnar communal house, serves Grandma Hai-style cooking, while Làng Chài grills the day's catch in thatched huts by the water.
The Padel
Down a village road past fish farms, in an exceptionally biodiverse corner of the coast, this court is as remote as they come, walled in by forest with only the ball to hear. HEAD and Babolat kits wait; lessons and group sessions can be booked, and staff will find a fourth, with chilled drinks sent courtside.
